Besragatin Fm
Type Locality and Naming
Along the Besragata stream, Shokhetau Mountains, North Nuratau Range, R.R. Usmanov, Korsakov et al. in 1993 (460, p. 153) identified as a suite. Formations were first described by Sh.Sh. Sabdyushev in 1975.
Synonym: Besragatin Suite, Бесрагатинская св.
Lithology and Thickness
According to the data of R.R. Usmanov et al. (1999), dark to black thin-bedded limestones, often dolomitic, and dolomites. In the lower part - a horizon (5-10m) of bituminous limestone with streaks and concretions of black flint. Thickness about 300 m.

Lower contact
The lower boundary is unclear
Upper contact
The upper - normally stratigraphic with limestones of the Chambil Fm.
Regional extent
North Nuratau Range, Shokhetau Mountains.

Fossils
Contains brachiopods - Palaeochoristites sp., P. aff. desinuatus Lis.; foraminifers - Archaeosphaera minima Sul., Parathurammina sp., Glomospiranella sp., Endothyra sp., Paradajnella sp., Palaeospiroplectammina cf. tchernyshinensis (Lip.), characteristic of Tournaisian deposits.
